Here is your Daily Feng Shui Tip for Tuesday, April 20
Run, don't walk, to someplace solitary and quiet today in order to practice a meditation that I call 'Getting A Leg Up on the Competition.' And, what better day than today, the running of the annual Boston Marathon, to learn a visualization that could conceivably have you hitting all of your projects right out of the park? Think Fenway. Start by sitting straight and breathing a few times in through your mouth and out through your nose. Now picture a blank television screen hovering over your head. As you inhale deeply, fill your whole belly with breath. Hold it for a second or two before slowly exhaling through your mouth. Now put an image of how you look, perform and operate at that moment into that imaginary flat screen above your head. For instance, you could see yourself literally sitting and practicing conscious breathing, or you could conjure a current reflection of the last meeting you went to, the last date you had or even the last book you read. You get it. Just put you in the screen. Now, in the bottom right hand corner of this same screen, put a picture in the picture. Plant a visual in that little screen of something that you really want to happen. See yourself signing a new mortgage, shaking hands with a new client or even selling your stuff on a home shopping network. Or, if you're reading this in Faneuil Hall (or anywhere in Beantown), see yourself crossing that finish line in record time. Then visualize yourself getting your well-deserved medal! Now take in one giant breath and blow the old you off the screen and totally make the little visual in the corner become the big picture. Okay, once more: A big, giant breath in, fill the belly, hold for a second and then blow big and move the new you onto the big screen above your head. Do this for a total of four breaths. The first one blows the old you out and the next three blow the breath of life that will animate the whole new you. Just goes to show how cool being full of hot air ca n be!
